-The First Responders Season 2 Episode 2 Recap Contains Spoilers-
The second episode picks up from where the first one ended. Song Seol, along with a civilian, gets trapped under the rubble of the building. As she looks around, she discovers that the civilian is injured and needs immediate assistance. Upon looking closer, she concludes that she needs to perform a procedure immediately to save his life. Without a second thought, she helps him out by making a small incision in his leg.
However, the oxygen in the room starts to decrease every second. The firefighters on the outside also have a difficult time entering the building because of the high levels of LPG gas that have leaked inside the room. The main coordinator decides to stop the rescue mission because it will lead to the deaths of many other rescuers.
Nevertheless, Dokko figures out a way to save Song Seol without any danger. She asks the firefighters to release high-pressure oxygen inside the room, which will bring out the LPG gas, and make it safe to enter. They all release large amounts of oxygen inside the room, and the LPG levels return to normal.
After the LPG levels go down, the firefighters enter the room. They search around for the two bodies and manage to find the civilian first. They put a lot of effort into searching for Song Seol as well, and they finally rescued her. However, when they put her inside the ambulance, her breathing did not return, which worried everyone around.
On the other hand, Do-jin encounters a few kids who plead with him to save their friend. He immediately goes inside the burning building and starts to look for the child. He finally finds the kid and saves him, but he returns back inside the room when he sees the same star sign that the serial arsonist intentionally puts at the crime scenes. However, he flees from the building and goes to the hospital to meet Song Seol.
However, when they all thought it was over, the fire inside the building erupted again and turned into a huge blast as a result of the pressure. From inside the building, a man starts walking towards the firefighters, but they cannot save his life. Just when Ho-gae tries to find out who the victim is, the episode ends.
